In accordance with the amended Turkish Citizenship Law, foreing persons who satisfy one of the below mentioned investment requirements are able to obtain Turkish Citizenship (TC) by Investment:

OPTION (A) stipulates that a minimum amount of property investment shall be made for 400k USD. This amount has been reduced from 1m USD to 250k USD (or the equal value in Turkish Lira) and then increase to 400k USD, on the condition to not sell the property within the next 3 years.

OPTION (B) is to deposit 500k USD in cash (or the equal value in Turkish Lira) for at least 3 years in one of the Turkish Banks.

This means, it is possible to obtain TC for the Investor (Main Applicant) as well as for family members: wife and children below 18 years old with the abovementioned investment option, an once the required criteria are met. For the time being, these two options are fastest options for TCBI.

TC by property investment has been the most preferred choice to proceed with TCBI. However, the chosen property itself must meet certain criteria including having a verified valuation report in place, building licence, and it shall also be clear out of any resctrictions on the Title Deed before transfer. Otherwise it will not be suitable for TC.

Note that, there is no Turkish language requirement to apply for TCBI, and there is no Military service requirement for TCBI applicants who are over 22 years old.

THE PROCEDURE:

The procedure for TCBI is quite straightforward. The only thing the foreign investor has to do is; provide us the necessary certified documentation from his home country and/or his current resident country if residing in another jurisdiction. For bank deposit option (B) it is required foreign investor to travel to Turkey only at the beginning to open a bank account. Up the country you are residing there will be no more physical presence for final stage once the citizenship status is officialy declared for providing fingerprints if the properties meet the threshold of the investment. Other than that there is no need to travel or reside inside Turkey.

All further steps on behalf of foreign investor with an apostilled PoA (Powe of Attorney) including TC application procedures.

The final approval for TC will be done by the Turkish governmental authorities. Provided that all the required documentation is duly compiled, submitted, and once you would demonstrate a clear criminal background, then there would be no refusal of applications in principal.

DURATION OF ACQUSITION OF TC:

Once after the investment is made, post-investment works will be duly handled and followed up by our team before relevant Turkish authorities. We will then initially submit his residence permit and then citizenship applications for all family members. For the time being, it currently takes around 4-6 months to acquire Turkish Citizenship status officially, and issuance of Turkish Passports for all family members.
